pennsylvania state stallone
Appearing in a recorded video message, Stallone, famous for his movie role as hard-luck Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa, was part of a parade of celebrities and gambling executives who asked Pennsylvania state regulators last week for a casino license in Rocky’s hometown.
One of Stallone’s partners in Planet Hollywood International Inc., actor Bruce Willis, also recorded a video message to board members, promising that “you can expect to see me at the casino plenty.”
One message from the casino hopefuls was that big names will be a free advertisement to draw gamblers to their establishments to spend money that will eventually become tax revenue for Pennsylvania.

casino royale james bond
Despite insisting he is a huge fan of the series, Craig, 38, the British actor makes his debut as 007, has now admitted he hasn’t made the effort to watch a Bond adventure on the big screen since he was five, when his father took him to see ‘Live and Let Die’.
He confessed to GQ magazine: “The first Bond film I went to see was ‘Live and Let Die’. I think that was in 1973″ Shortly after Craig was announced as the new Bond angry fans started an online petition urging movie goers to boycott ‘Casino Royale’.
The group of disgruntled 007 enthusiasts asked people to log onto website www.craignotbond.com and voice their displeasure at the decision to replace Pierce Brosnan with the hunky blond star.
One fan, said: “I can’t believe Craig hasn’t been to the cinema to see a Bond film for over 20 years. James Bond can’t be treated like any other movie. We, as fans, demand that the history of the series is respected and it seems to me that Craig doesn’t care about the prestige of playing 007 at all.”

32red bodog online betting
Online gaming group Betcorp has decided to close its operations rather than attempting to cope with new legislation outlawing Internet gambling in the United States.
The firm, which is listed on London’s Alternative Investment Market, agreed to sell its online betting business to Bodog Entertainment in a deal worth $11m (£5.9m).
Betcorp, which earned 85 per cent of its revenues from US customers in the past four months, said it would struggle to cope without income from the US.
“The board has considered whether its non-US business could be profitable and decided that does not have access to the funds required to adopt these strategies” said the Australian-based Betcorp in a statement.
Meanwhile, online gaming rival 32Red yesterday said total third quarter revenues increased by 56 per cent to £4.2m compared with the same period last year. The company, which sponsors Aston Villa Football Club, said its active customer base stood at 49,898 compared with 6,708 last year.

We have come accross lots of misleading news stories regarding the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement in the past few days that sometime we do not know where we stand. After reading lots and lots of information we can safely say that the new bill does not make online gaming illegal where it was not illegal before.
Nothing is going to happen for 270 days. The Secretary and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System have 270 days (after the bill is signed by the president) to come up with enforcement policies and procedures. The bill sets up banks to police a social issue,” said Laura Fisher, spokeswoman for the American Bankers Association. “It’s not something we want to encourage.”
However Many Playech Casinos, Party Poker and 888, home of the biggest casino online, have already stopped accepting wagers from US bettors.
So where can I play since the new law does not state that online poker and casino games are not illegal in USA?
The answer is simple: Golden Palace. They have announced that the casino will still be accepting wagers for both their online poker room and their Online Casino at least for the next 30 days.

bets partygaming sportingbetThe House and Senate passed bills last weekend banning payments to online gambling sites using credit card and bank accounts. President Bush is expected to sign the measure aimed at ending all online gambling from U.S. players. However, officials say that although Congress has passed the law, some gamblers will find a way to place their bets, legal or not.
The bill’s aim is to keep gambling revenues in the US. It has already knocked some major online gambling companies out of the country. Britain’s PartyGaming Plc, Sportingbet and 888 Plc said they would move out of the US market on Monday after the bill was passed.
Keith Whyte, executive director of National Council on Problem Gambling said, “What this bill doesn’t do is actually help anybody that does have a problem with gambling on the Internet. It just creates an administrative barrier.” Continue Reading »
