While online gambling is being targeted by US politicians the state of Illinois is reporting record tax revenue from land-based casino gambling and state lottery sales. According to the state budget office, they collected $1.40 billion dollars a three percent year-over-year increase, and 8th straight annual increase.

State lottery officials tribute the increase to a strong advertising effort geared at bringing in new customers, as well as several new lottery games aimed at keeping interest strong.

All of a sudden gambling is good.
