Why I love Vegas

Another trip to Vegas, another sleepless three days (or was that four?). Sitting at a Bellagio coffee shop, sipping $5 Espresso, I thought it to be a good time to reflect on why I like Vegas…
1. Service. In Vegas service rules, but not without the dollar. I have decided that the level of service you can expect in Vegas is directly proportionate to the shirt you wear. I have seen numerous examples of this in the past week. On the occasions where I was decked out in my finest I was convinced I got results quicker. A cheap print Tee shirt just doesn’t cut it. Nevertheless, I love Vegas for its customer service, and I am more than happy to be a fool for paying tips, but at least someone is paying attention unlike most other cities in the world.
2. Food, glorious food! Someone told me that Vegas has more Michelin Chefs than any COUNTRY in the world. True or not, I have once again had some of the best meals in the last few days. You can of course eat real garbage in Vegas, but if you venture slightly above the average, the food is damn good. Continue Reading »
